Lydia Sloley was raised in Brooklyn, NY. As a "people person", she touches the lives of many people through her sense of community consciousness. Lydia received Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior in 1982. The Lord blessed her with the gift of poetry. The Lord directed her steps and opened doors that allow this gift of poetic prophetic expression to bless the lives of many nationally as well as internationally. Lydia successfully completed the National Broadcasting School, where her radio broadcast "Life In It's Poetic Form" was born. The broadcast aired on WCAS a.k.a WLVG in the greater metropolitan Boston area.
A Certified Independent Cable Television Producer, Lydia writes, produces, and directs her own television broadcast, "Life In Its Poetic Form", an inspirational talk show designed to inspire, encourage and motivate its viewers to accept the challenges of everyday living.
Lydia advanced her career to become a "Certified Image Consultant". She established the "Life Empowerment Workshops. These workshops teach life skills from the in side out and are highly praised by Schools, Churches, Correctional Facilities, and Shelters for Battered Women, Teen Programs and Corporations.
Lydia, the writer and poet, has written and published five books of poetry. Inspirational Insights, Relationships, Challenging Experiences, Knowing Yourself Through Christ and Understanding Our Emotions. These books have made room for other works in progress.
Lydia is presently a well-known columnist for the Love Express and the Christian Times Newspapers in New York City. These columns operate as another inspirational outreach under the umbrella of "Life In Its Poetic Form", where her poetic prophetic gifts offer calmness for life's inner issues. She also offers "Poetry Empowerment Workshops". These workshops offer an invitation to the hearts of other writers to speak through poetry. Lydia was ordained to the office of elder in 1997 at Shekinah Glory Training Center in Brooklyn, NY.
